Private James York was a paratrooper attached to the 101st Airborne Division during their 1944 drop into Normandy.
Appearances[]
He is seen in the missions Purple Heart Lane, Cole's Charge and at No Better Spot to Die. He is just a standard rifleman.
However, he reappears in Earned in Blood as a generic character.
Death (Hill 30)[]
He gets killed when a bullet hits him in his throat. You see him appear to die while Jameson yells, "York! Get up man, get up!". His body is missing along with those of Hooper and Locke and others when Baker returns with the 2nd Armored Division.

- He is a template character, which explains why he was used a lot of times during the first two games, he and Doe died the same way, by getting shot in the throat; except that York died instantly.
- He uses the same headmodel as Boyd.
