"We were outgunned and outnumbered. Some of my team were fresh-faced boys who lasted just two steps into the war. The area was more heavily defended than we’d been told, but we had no choice but to continue."
Pushing Through is the second mission in Campaign 1.
Summary[]
Following the events of Make Haste, Not War, the Allied forces have advanced to an outpost. The German soldiers are ruthless, growing in numbers and growing more violent. A Nazi throws a grenade at one of Cole's men, and he is blown up, dying immediately. Upon seeing this, James Gann, Cole's friend and sniper rifle specialist, grows distressed, and tells Cole that shit was hitting the fan. Wright scans the battlefield, and spots a sees that the outpost is the source of most of their troubles. He tells Gann that taking down the outpost should be their main objective.
After taking out four Nazis, Cole advances, where he finds a sten, a small SMG more powerful than the rifle he was currently using. James tells him to use it. More German soldiers then parachute down onto the battlefield, and Cole easily takes them out with the sten. Once he is done taking down waves of German soldiers, a German bazooka destroys their tank. Wright then informs his team that the tank was down, and that they were on their own.
The German forces attack weakened Cole's team, arriving in large numbers. While Cole is able to take most of them down, he realizes that he can't take all of them. He then tells Jacob Hall to request an air strike, effectively killing all the Nazi's.
